Topscriptie Community

How can I register as a member of the online Topscriptie community and how can I pay for your services?
You can fill out the registration form free of charge and without obligation in our Community on the website, listing your needs and relevant information about yourself and your studies (Tip: please be as detailed as possible, in order for your profile to be clear to our supervisors!).

If you don’t know what help might be best for you, you can always contact us in advance so we can go through the options together.

In our online Topscriptie community, you can always change your details, see the contact details of your supervisor and buy thesis coaching hours through our secure web shop. Before buying your hours, you can indicate how many hours of thesis coaching you would like to receive online, and how many hours offline. Payment options include iDEAL, Paypal and SOFORT banking. After payment, the hours are automatically added to your account and we will formally assign a supervisor to you. The supervisor will normally contact you straight away. Of course you can also contact the supervisor yourself! After the coaching process has started, you can always come back to your profile page in the community to get an overview of the amount of hours and/or minutes you have left. Below you find a screenshot of the community interface, so you have an impression what it looks like when you are logged into the community:

When will a mentor be assigned to my account?
After you have purchased your hours, a thesis coach will be assigned to you by us. After that, you can contact your thesis coach and see his/her contact details. Make sure your profile in the community is as complete as possible.

When does the thesis help start and how many hours of thesis coaching do I need/do you advice?

If you contact us before registering as a member of the Topscriptie community, we will be able to form an idea of the amount of hours you might need and we will give you an informed advice. We try to be as responsive as possible and usually start our professional thesis help within a few days (or less) after receiving your payment. During the intake session, we can tell you exactly which thesis supervisor is best suited for you and we will inform you when and where your coaching sessions with her/him could take place (Coaching on location can usually take place in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Breda, Tilburg, Groningen, Den Bosch and Tilburg). If that is agreeable to you and you decide to start with us, you can proceed buying your hours in our online Topscriptie community. We always strive to start immediately, but during a busy period it may take several days before a supervisor is available. Bear this in mind.

How can I see how many hours I have left?
In the community you can find an overview of the total number of hours that you have purchased, the hours you have spent and the outstanding balance. This information can be found under the tab “Financials”. Note that hours are non-refundable, so please speak to your thesis coach and preset deadlines and appointments, so that you can use all your credits!

Is there a minimum number of hours I must buy?
No. You are free to decide the number of hours you would like to buy. However, if you buy 5, 10 or 20 hours in one go, the hourly rate goes down. Obviously, the time spent is maintained by the supervisor in minutes (and not rounded per hour). You can also start five hours and then still buy a single hour if necessary. In this way we can adapt to each student’s individual needs and  strive for optimal result. Moreover, it is important to us that you can remain flexible and make the amount of hours correspond to your needs. We think that is much better and fairer than offering expensive packages with fixed hours, as other agencies do.

Can I choose both online counseling as well as counseling on location?
That is certainly possible and you can also choose for a combination of offline and online coaching. This last option has proven to be very effective and we often recommend it. Please note that you buy in the community both “Online thesis help hours, for all online counseling (advice and support via Teams/ Zoom/ Skype, telephone, email and in the document itself), as well as “Thesis supervision on location” hours.

I forgot my password. What to do?
If you have forgotten your password, go on the homepage to “log”, click on “Forgot password” and enter your registered email address / username. You will receive an e-mail with a new password. Remember to change this password once you log in for the first time.

Can I change my account details later on?
Yes, you can. Once you log in, you have a list of all the information you submitted. You can add or change items by clicking on “Change”.

Where can I find my invoice?
All invoices can be found in the menu under “Invoice”. You can see all details here and check on payment status (paid / unpaid). From the tab you can download the bills for your own offline record.

How can I buy additional hours when I need more time?
Do you need additional hours? Click in the main “Yes, I want to buy extra hours.”
Then you can choose what kind of hours you need (online or offline thesis coaching), select the number of hours you want to buy and click on “to cart”. When checking out to conclude the purchase ; you will be redirected to our secure payment environment.

What payment options do you offer?
All payment options at Topscriptie offer optimal security. Our options include iDEAL, Paypal and SOFORT banking.

Can my bill be addressed to my company (or to someone else)?
By default, bills will be composed using your personal information. However, we offer two easy options to have invoices addressed to your company or any other third party:

1. Click ‘’change my details’’ in your personal portal

Here you can enter the details of your company. Once you have saved the data, bills will be composed using your company’s details.

2. In your personal shopping cart, there is another way to enter a different billing address.

Once you no longer need bills to be made out in your company’s name, remove all data under “business”. Once you delete this data, invoices will automatically be addressed again to you personally.

How do I stay in touch with my supervisor?
In the online community, you can find the contact details of your supervisor. You can contact her or him via e-mail, telephone and / or Teams/ Skype.

What experience does Topscriptie have?
Topscriptie B.V. was founded in 2011. We are academic thesis supervisors (some even hold a doctor’s degree) with expertise in various subjects. In this way, we are (almost) always able to help every student and give accurate and specific feedback. Our focus is on papers in the areas of management, communication, marketing, social science and education (such as psychology, social work), media and entertainment management (MEM), business, journalism, technical management, medical education, research (qualitative and quantitative as SPSS) and rights, but other fields as well. Thesis supervision is often possible on location in Groningen, Maastricht, Nijmegen, The Hague, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Den Bosch, Breda and Tilburg. Most supervisors are flexible when it comes to finding a location for the coaching sessions to take place. Note: It is always good to state your preferences in advance, so we can take them into account when assigning a supervisor to you.

I have a job and other commitments at this time. What can you do for me?
Topscriptie focuses not only on full-time students, but also on working students. We have noted that the combination of work and writing a thesis is often difficult. To confront these difficulties we know it is important to make an effective planning and that is why we will make clear appointments to schedule the coaching sessions and activities as effectively as possible. We believe in hard deadlines; for you to send in your work and for us to give you feedback. Combining pressure with constructive and timely feedback will help you lift your thesis to the next level. Also good to know: most of our thesis coaches also work outside office ours. We are always there for you, also in the evenings and weekends!

What kind of support do you offer and how does it work?
We provide coaching on location or online. It is also possible to let your coach give his comments in the text of the thesis itself, identifying the issues that you need to work on. Of course, you can always interact with your personal supervisor through Skype on these issues. Or you can make an appointment on-site to discuss all your essay questions and problems. We give concrete and specific advice, depending on what you need. Note that we never give a guarantee of success. Nor can we (co-)write your thesis. The student is and remains responsible for the final result. But, of course, we take our responsibility seriously and we will do our outmost to guide you to the finish line!

Do you also count preparation time?

Of course the coach can also read the documents during the session but our experience is that this is less effective. Preparing applies only to the information or work related to you specific case, which the our coach needs to read in advance. Preparation does not include processing general information concerning your field of expertise. We always try to match you with the right supervisor, so you may trust that your supervisor has sufficient knowledge and experience to advise you. Other thesis agencies charge for example a standard of 30 minutes for each hourly session, but we will only charge you the minutes that have actually been spent.

How many hours does the whole thesis coaching process take?

This is different in each case and depends on your level. Also, if you want us to coach you during the whole thesis process, from the inception tot the final submission, this will obviously cost more time. On average students use 12 hours, but there are also students who only need 2 to 3 hours, because they only need specific help on a specific part of their thesis.
